So I’m grinding the Red Sox affinity, and I’m only 5 away. If I use Multiple Red Sox players, will it count as one inning per player, or one inning in total?

You get innings for each player. 1 guy plays 9 innings, you get 9. 5 guys play 9 innings you get 45
