Question about sinkers
-
Love em, hate em, or both. We all know sinkers are the best and most annoying pitch in the game. I've heard it on here that it all started in 2020 with kluber. Question is, what were sinkers like before that? Were they always like this just not widely known about, or did they make a change to the pitch that year?

They weren't as prevalent or as OP before that. The problem was always you could throw high sinking FB's and they look like offspeed pitches out of the pitchers hand but zipped in as Fastballs. For some stupid reason the ball would start up out of the pitchers hand. Instead of coming in like a 4 seamer and dipping at the end. And it would do this even if pitch up in the zone which was completely unrealistic. So essentially a hanging curve ball out of the pitchers hand would be a 95-100 mph FB right through the zone. It is much better this year.
