Lately it’s been feeling like comeback coding is back like previous years. I go up a few runs and all of the sudden I’m throwing more [censored] and hanging pitches. If I’m losing it seems easier to hit. Games are staying close and losing teams are getting weak hits while the winning teams smashes outs

There is and never has been any comeback logic in the game.

You clearly didn’t play last year in CS or WS. Doesn’t feel bad this year but last year I felt I had no control of the game until the 9th

I heard and it makes a lot of sense the "comeback logic" is just player quirks if you're playing a team w decent MLB stars, they will have quirks that benefit the players when behind in the game which is why your all diamond squad will stomp a bronze and silver team 9/10 times but if you're playing an equally matched team chances are their diamonds are being boosted when behind.
Some of these Quirks are Rally Monkey, Clutch, Situational Hitter, Walker etc..... Basically giving the losing team showdown perqs

Yes I have. I make WS every single season and have since MLB 16. Nice try though!

I have to completely AGREE with you! Lost more than 10+ games after being up by over 3 or 4 runs after the 6th. and vice versa when im loosing its guaranteed that i will hit 2-3 homeruns between the 7-9th inning.

That would make sense, never really thought of that

Coming from someone who got screwed on "comeback logic" twice last night, comeback logic isn't real. I played all of last year too, and the past 3 years before that. Quirks play a role, but throughout all your games, I promise your opponent has gotten lucky hits in the early innings probably almost as equally as often as they did in the later innings. You just notice and remember the ones that happen late in games more often because they have a bigger impact on the game

Was your pitcher getting low on energy or confidence? did you take out a dominant starter in place of an easy to hit reliever? I swear 90% of the comback logic posts last year were People taking out Kershaw and putting in Trevor Hoffman or Kirby Yates. You have to take all factors into account. Not just that "the game let the worse player win" Ever think your opponent was getting screwed for 7 innings and finally got rewarded when the "comeback logic" kicked in? This game and franchise has had all sorts of problems over the years, but comeback logic is a [censored] excuse that you lost.

Ever had the game force an error on you?

Ever had the game reward your opponents bad hit?

Ever had the game hang your perfect release pitch?

Ever had the game nerf your hits?

Ever had the game make your base running act stupid?

These are all examples of the Comeback Logic, anyone denying it is straight up lying.

Comeback logic implies these things specifically kick in when you are beating your opponent in attempts for them to make a comeback. Those things happen all the time, winning or losing. These are examples of a bad game. Comeback logic isn't real

Nope you're right. Just had a game just like that. I go up 2-0 early yet i can't get anymore hit even with perfect pci placement. My opponent is striking out like 20 times, yet of all of sudden last inning he makes a miraculous comeback after b[censored]s, and I know the cheat was in as as soon as he tied up the game I got disconnected from the game wtf

I haven't played enough to see it this year but it has been in the last few years. You do know Madden denied this also until it was found in the code. It IS in every sports game. Did it keep me from making the WS multiple times last year? No. You just have to be good enough to overcome and be very good in the 7-9th innings. It is why almost every game I scored 2-3 runs early, I could just set my controller down because I wasn't going to score until late or my opponent caught up. Amazing how when you are up or down late, you or your opponent always got the tying run on base or to the plate. By that late in the game, I can usually tell what pitches and locations you can't hit and would hammer those when needed. You are very naive if you don't think it is in sports games.

OMG, you guys with your real life scenarios to defend a VIDEO GAME. Like seriously, is that your best line of defense for this trash? If it happens in real life it’s ok to code it into a video game and have it cause an influence in outcomes?
