What day is best to buy cheap?
-
I’m looking to buy Trout the 96 ovr card and use him as my center piece while I slowly work my way into getting Randy Johnson. He’ll be my 1st big purchase but what day or time are prices normally cheaper? I saw Trout at 360k a couple of days ago but now I have 380k and I went to look and his 400k.
I know promos or fire sales are usually the best to buy players but idk MLB schedule like that since this is my 1st year playing DD. So when is the best time to buy players?

On a day to day basis, early morning is when cards are typically cheapest. Sometimes I put in lowball offers on cards before going to bed and get lucky. Otherwise, days when there are large content drops are the best time to buy. Today does have a showdown, event reward, and new headliner, but I don't think those will have an impact on Trout. Something like the intense packs from last week probably had an impact.
It's also worth mentioning that memorial day is a week out. There is pretty high probability of a stub sale this weekend. That would cause prices to skyrocket.

I would wait a little while. You don't want to spend all your stubs because it feels defeating afterwards and it's hard to build back. It's easier to go from 380k to 500k than it is to go from 10k to 120k, if that makes sense.
Keep flipping, playing, or investing. Whatever you've been doing, and wait for his price to go down a bit more, or until spending 380k isn't going to bankrupt you.

They've really taken away alot of investments methods and generally just mixed things up this year. That being said, it wouldn't shock me if they hit us with a pack sale this weekend.

Pack sales usually follow a week or two after a stub sale. Expect the stub sale this weekend

Market is hot during the day and cools down at night.. I would try to buy him asap at whatever stub range you’re comfortable so you could move on to the next target
-
I’d do it soon because a stub sale is likely coming and will inflate the market.

If there’s a stub sale wouldn’t that cost Trouts price to go up since stubs are cheaper?
-
I would put in a buy order for 375k and just wait.

All my players are 94+ ovr with parallel boosts and no one to buy really and I’ve read that it’s better to buy the high end players 1st cause as the year goes those cards become more and more expensive. I don’t mind spending that much on Trout right away cause his 90 card just balls out for me and he’ll be my CF for months to come I’m assuming.
If I were just buying the card to complete the set and but don’t use him on the field what your saying makes total sense and I wouldn’t do that. But I’m loving his 90 card perfect all around players and he’ll see the field at all times.

I just asked a guy below a question you just answered to lol I feel dum. I guess I’m out in a sale order at night and hope it’ll fall through. I’ll buy in for 375k which is a reasonable asking price and hopefully I’ll get him. I don’t wanna wait til the weekends cause than I’m pretty sure his price will go up if there is a stub sale.

Yeah makes sense thank you! I’ll be buying him this before the weekend incase they do have a stub sale. You know when was the last time they had a pack sale or have they even had one this year yet?

Haven't had one yet. They've had a couple flash sales, but no pack/stub sales.
