IMO .... SDS just went to the extreme more & more every year with creating content for players that are juiced up & are very unrealistic to what the player is currently or was before in prior seasons. Even during the best season they very played within their career, regardless if he is still active or long time retired or even dead.

Would be nice to see only realistic cards of retired players having attributes reflecting their entire career or in some cases their best season. However NOT have their attributes juiced up so much as they are right now. And with active players having a specialty card type, an added boost to certain attributes makes sense. However not to the extreme with how much more they are unrealistically juiced.

IMO .... It just takes aware from the sense of realness in team building. I get the personal God Squad & Dream Team aspect to this. For most part I enjoy this aspect just as much as much as the next guy. However it kills me when players are juiced up so much like the way they are.

A game I played a lot (and still do at times) is Gran Turismo. I bring this game up to compare & to offer a suggestion to this topic. GT has you collecting cars. Cars you either win in races, missions & different modes or buy from the shop. The use of these cars provides attributes with Handling, Acceleration, Braking, Weight & Rarity. Each car is tied to a certain class. Touring, Muscle, Super, Hatchback, etc. You can only use certain cars for certain races within the cars you currently own within your garage.

The "Rarity" Attribute is what I would like to suggest. With MLBTS, what makes a card more valuable & sort after to be owned & especially used within your DD game play modes is the "Rarity" value that card has. The "Rarity" gives a boost to XP earned from any DD mode being played. The higher the "Rarity" value is for that card is the higher the XP boost is. Also the higher the "Rarity" value for that is how it will also affect it's price within the Market with making it more expensive then cards with a lower "Rarity" value.

This will make all modes of play more challenging & evened out across the board for everyone. Both online & offline. The only difference within us would be who is getting more of an XP boost to complete their Programs quicker. SDS will not be loosing anything. They still will have us grinding our a***s off trying to win these reward cards & going into a stub making frenzy to go into bidding wars for these cards. The gain for us is having these cards to complete XP required programs quicker & giving us more time to devote & put into other modes of play which SDS has been desperately trying to gear us towards doing. The ONLY way they can keep MTO & RTTS going is my making DD players do these modes as well if they want to earn the XP towards Programs. RTTS has a very very loyal following that lives & die for this mode. And same can be said for MTO. But that loyal following is within a minority compared to the majority that live & die for DD.

We never should've went past 99. Thought it was ignorant then and still do now.

I hear ya. I hate the Topps now cards that reward a player for having a decent outing when in reality they are average at best. Prospects and Future Stars are the worst. I get some folks like it but they shouldn't get above an 85 for those cards.
