I also love how the announcers say pitchouts are rare, but I’m seeing them constantly with everyone with even remotely enough speed

Any chance you were holding R2 to see the pitchers repertoire?
I've noticed that the more I hold R2, to see what was just thrown to me or to double check the pitchers repertoire, the more the CPU throws over.

Don't forget the pickoff attempts in a CQ game in the 3rd inning while you're up 15-0. Gotta keep that potential 16th run out of scoring position.
