So I was looking at buying a new monitor, the mu32 or whatever that people keep mentioning on here.
But while I was shopping around I found some 65" Qled and Oled tvs that had me wondering. The tvs say that they support VRR, hdmi 2.1, 120hz on 4k all the stuff people on here have mentioned. My question is I noticed the tvs have ~10-15 ms response where as the monitors have sub 5ms response.
Is the difference in 10ms response tv and 1 ms response monitor, if they both have the same specs otherwise a huge deal?
It wont turn you into better player, like its not the missing piece of making a WS run or something imo. I play on a 55in TCL 6 series, with similar numbers to your TV and i have a monitor as well and i couldnt tell much of a difference. I also say i cant tell much between 60 fps game on a 60hz screen vs a 120hz screen so take my words with a grain of salt.

As long as it doesn't make me worse. I'm probably destined to be a 700-800 player forever anyway

Get the LG. Bask in it's glory. Never question another TV again.

I have both the LG and the M32U. LG C1 is my television and I game on my M32U. Both are great. If the size and burn in risk is not an issue for you, go with the C1. If you want a more traditional gaming monitor type size (behind a desk, like I do) and/or the burn in risk turns you off, go with the M32U. Can't go wrong either way.

While the risk for burn in is still something that is possible.. I think they said the risk now is very very small on these TV's. Like you would have to have a static image up for 10 hours. And LG has take steps to reduce it like screen savers and pixel refresh ( or whatever it's called)

Yes they have and it's all fine and well, until it happens to you. Buddy of mine uses his C1 very responsibly and did everything they advertise to prevent it from happening, and it did end up happening. It all comes down to willingness to take risk with it, because it CAN happen regardless of the chance of it actually happening.

And I have trouble trusting in protection warranties

Sony Ps5 need to support freesync premium
I’ve got a monitor that has a “Freesync” on or off option. Which do I choose? The picture seems better but I read where it bogs down online play.
