At this point, I feel like a new gamer in the show… I have reached WS several times in past years, but I wouldn’t say I’m a great player, just that I like to compete. The thing is that in this year game I can’t win consistently (horrendous record near 500.). I used meter pitching and zone hitting and I have allowed too many runs with hanging pitches in the zone (some of them resulting in Ls) and a crazy amount of hits with pitches very far from the strike zone. I was a decent hitter and I just try to work the count and make good contact, but I can’t understand why some many of my good/ good contact with high power guys (+90 power) resulting in lazy fly balls even in small stadiums. Not here to complain about the game because I just play MLB The Show and I freaking love it, just want to see if is a new approach or meta that could be such a big difference. Maybe it is just me battling combine with a lot of better players, but would appreciate some advice. I tend to play Franchise in Legend.

I would suggest learning pinpoint, so you'll have way more control of pitches

I have tough about it but don’t really like the way it works or looks 😕 I guess I would have to sacrifice and make the change

I have always used meter too... for some reason this year I'm having the same problems, zero control of my pitches. I think I might be forced to switch, but geez I hate pinpoint.

Maybe it’s just the pitchers I’ve been using in BR, but pinpoint seems nerfed quite a bit this year. Not complaining. It might be a good thing if it makes control pitchers more attractive.
