Does this game take forever to load for everyone?

I'm just curious. I fire this game up and the icon in the corner just spins, spins and spins.
How about when you turn cross play on and off? My screen locks up and freezes for about 45 seconds.
What causes this? Server issues?

I have ps5 and have had no problems like some of the complaints on this forum from losses in mini season to freezing. I’m hard wired with great net speed. Maybe that’s why I’ve had no problems

Sometime it takes awhile to load an online game when you are using a ps5 or series x. That is because your opponent is using a last gen console and it takes longer to load. Same problem last year.

Same. Absolutely zero issues with mini seasons on ps5. Feel bad for the guys thayvare having issues tho.

I'm wired in on a PS5. I'm not talking about going into a game. It's when you initially fire up the game. Takes a minute to get to the main screen.
When I go up to my profile in the upper left hand corner where your icon is and turn cross play on or off the screen locks up.
Figured it was servers. When searching for an online game I'm always losing connection to my opponent before we even get to the pitcher select screen. I'm only playing against PlayStation players

Ps5 here and yes when initially firing up the game
