Strange Controller Issues While in Menus

I'm having some weird controller behavior when I'm going through the conquest map and most of the menus (main menu, market, etc.). The buttons are pressed without any input sometimes. If I try to scroll down a list, it automatically takes me back to where I started. It's even scrolled through the list infinitely as though my controller is possessed.
My controller is only a year old, and I just replaced the batteries. I've taken good care of it—never dropped it nor have I been careless with it in any way.
I think it has something to do with this game, because I've played other games with this controller and nothing like this happens.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

o replace my ps4 controller yearly due to stick drift or buttons working crappy

This just started for me as well last night. Could be stick drift. I did have Apple headphones plugged into my controller and in the past Apple headphones have caused my controllers to go haywire when plugged in for some reason.

It must be something to do with the D-pad? I don't notice any stick drift on the PCI in-game.

Test it as mentioned above. I had stick drift and it didn't mess with my pci, just unwanted menu movement
