1st inning showdown

Any tips on how to beat this mode. I try and try and just can't beat it. So frustrating.

is it me or does offline batting seem dumbed down now? seems like the contact off the bat is weaker.

You have to be patient. I look for one location up to two strikes. Also when you get someone on 1st, the computer likes to throw low for the double play. Make sure during showdowns you are putting your 8 best hitters in and then sub your pitcher. I also like to keep someone with speed on the bench to swap out if the winning run is a slow runner.

It seemed easier pre 1.05 patch. I don’t know what it is just getting a lot more Good/Good and easy outs. I’ve even had several Perfect/Perfect which on Rookie almost never happened in the challenges.

Loving the good swings for okay contact to go with the gold glove fielders. 1 win away from Gallo and failed 3 times now including 2 against Hendrix who I have never failed before. Good times.

I’m hitting way more homeruns in showdown than I have before. Feels like the AL West showdown is even easier now.
