I think you are new to this game so you did not have to deal with the abomination that was the Ryan Feierabend card back in (I think it was) The Show 2019. Knuckleballs and bunting should both be kept out of this game. They add nothing but cheese (I don't care if they exist in real baseball - this is a video game, not real baseball).

Gotcha, yeah 21 was my first year and I assumed there was some
involved. I just figured with some of the other pitches and perks that feel overpowered that Knuckleballs couldn't be that bad. But now that you mention it, I'm sure it would be a headache and a half. -

It's not that knucklers would be easier to hit, that isn't true at all. I hit outlier pitchers better than straight sinker cutter guys. I guess I'm saying that facing knucklers would be more fun than just guessing whether its going to be a fastball or slider

But it's a little more than that. Nolan Ryan doesn't even have a slider. The 4SFB versus changeup is bad enough, Add in the big hook and the sinker and it is a tough guessing game. With that pinpoint pitching method it is terrible. Are they keeping that for 2022 ?

Hey, there is a 41 Mickey Jannis that has a Knuckle Ball you can use in the event. Guy throws beachballs, but you can confuse someone not paying attention.

Yeah you can tell the newbies right away. The ones that didnt have to face Niekro, Tiant and others in past games.

What's wrong with bunting tho? I'm not talking about the cheesy drag bunts with every 99 speed guy, but if you find yourself in a pickle and you get on base with no outs, there's nothing wrong with a sac bunt to move a guy into scoring position or over to third base with less than 2 outs.

I really wish sac bunts were a thing in this game. Way too often I'd choose to strike out over bunting with the pitcher just because I didn't want to send a line drive to 3rd on a bunt attempt.

Lol that's true, it seems easier to drag bunt to get on base than it is to intentionally giving up an out by sac bunting.

I've been working on this a lot more. Nothing wrong with some good old fashion NL baseball.

Yeah it is the bunts for base hits with the 99 speed guys that I mean. Sac bunts I have no issue with. If they could make it so that was the only bunts that work most of the time I would be ok with it. And apparently, in this year's game there is this 'spamming' the triangle button that increase the chances of a successful bunt. It is all messed up like it was a few years ago when people complained continuously about the bunt cheese.
ETA: and another old problem that seems to have returned is speedsters scoring from 2nd base on a slow groundout to SS. This is due to the 1st baseman being slow to react and throw. Then there are the horrible slow animations that make executing a successful rundown almost impossible. I now just run them back. A lot of times I get them because they think I am going to throw, and they reverse their direction only to run right into the tag.
