Nowhere in that video did Ramone or the other guy mention DD. He was clearly talking about franchise so whatever "lying" or "misleading statements" you think are being said are really just a misunderstanding on your part. Take the L here dude

Objection. “Lying” shouldn’t be quoted, because I never said it.

If I may rebut. Ben specifically mentioned Shohei deserving a “card” that was the best for both pitching and hitting. He then immediately asked if we could have him in our lineup and rotation at the same time, to which Ramone confirmed. If we in fact can not utilize his card that way in DD, I generously call that a misleading statement.

One can also assume that the majority of MLB The Show players are DD players, so any comment made by Ramone on how Shohei’s “card” can be utilized outside of DD should be made so explicitly. And I also don’t think “cards” exist in any other game mode.

    Lawyered.

I kid, but it does suck if we can’t use 2-way players correctly in DD.

Yes the guy interviewing Ramone said card because like you said, he probably assumes most people are thinking about DD. Ramone never said anything about DD tho. Also you are correct, you never used the word lying so I apologize for that one. I agree I wish they could just make 1 card work for 2-way players but I never got that impression myself from any of the things SDS has said.

Man. You really got Ramone’s back for some reason. Twisted into knots.

Ben: Can you do the thing?
    Ramone: Yes.
Kovz: Ramone never said you could do the thing. He merely said “yes” when asked about it.

I'm really not, you misread an interview and refuse to accept you could have made a mistake. Look at my post history, I have no problem criticizing SDS for some of the dumb [censored] that happens. This however is a mistake on your part, accept it, move on. Like an adult

I'm new this year. I don't understand why he could be used both ways in one mode and not another. I know absolutely nothing about computers, but with everything they are able to do in this game, what is it about the "two way player" that is so hard? I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I just don't understand.

I do get that without a DH, it is an advantage which you can use now with his All Star Card and by leaving his Finest card in to pitch. Add the DH and its almost irrelevant. You can either have him do both, or have another awesome pitcher and another awesome hitter. Neither player has an advantage in an all high diamonds game.

Is it the fielding aspect? This just makes no sense to me, sorry for my ignorance.

You can already do this in DD with a CAP. You pitch with the card 1 game and then use as a position player the next 4 games while recovering stamina. Ridiculous they haven’t implemented it with 2-way players already.

Going negative here, but I have a feeling they aren’t going to stop with botching 2-way players in DD. They might not add the DH, not add Randy, and have terrible servers again. I hope I’m wrong about all that but won’t hold my breath.

Might be too worried about “canceling” Alomar and Puckett to focus on the game. Thank god they didn’t let us use their 99 cards. If I was able to use them I may have been so influenced that I commit domestic violence. My wife should send a thank you letter.

I think what the OP wants is if he has an Ohtani card in that is labeled as an SP and he pinch hits for Ohtani in the 7th; he then wants to double switch Ohtani with one of the current outfielders when he brings he the new pitcher.

You can't do that now. And if SDS stated that we could finally use two-way players, which I assume they did because of the whole cloning Coach scenario, then if we can't do the above; what they said is misleading.

But if I'm not mistaken, you can't put Finest Ohtani in the bullpen or rotation (just the leaving him in exploit) and he doesn't accrue stats that way.

All Star Ohtani accrues offense but you can't put him in the field so he can only pinch hit or pitch.

I get that taking a pitcher out and changing his position is a bit convoluted but why can't he just go to his secondary positions like any other player? He's a starting pitcher one game and a RF the next while his stamina recovers. It just seems like it shouldn't be as complicated as I'm guessing it is.

Not what I had in mind, but we should be able to do that and cannot.

The real question is can I play with the anime version of Ohtani? And when he does anything in the game do we get up close cameras on his exaggerated facial expressions. Or colorful back rounds that show him powering up? If he misses a pitch do hundreds of animated question marks show up over his head? When he gives up a homerun does an angry steam whistle show up?

These are the important questions. I don’t know what you all are talking about.

Quit with the silly requests. I mean, not like SDS is trying to sell us on an authentic to MLB game 😎
