The one thing th at bothers me with all this is how many people are complaining that perfect perfects can be outs. How many times do you see a ball crushed that’s an out? Almost every game.
Peole can hit the ball hard and right at somebody.
The reason why people complain about this, is because at the beginning of the year during pre release streams they showed hit percentages based on each type of contact result. The perfect/perfect contact said to have a hit result of 80+% which I certainly feel is not accurate at all and many agree with me. That's what causes people to complain, not the actual fact that a perfect/perfect can be an out. I can't begin to count the amount of times I pulled a perfect/perfect for a foul ball, and I'm not talking about the server delays where it says perfect/perfect but then glitches to show me that I was in fact early.
Anyway, this wasn't really an issue for me either. Just wanted to add some context to what you said and possible make you understand better why people complain about this.
If I may inaccurately quote Rounders. “No one remembers how they built there bank roll but everyone remembers how they lost it.”
Meaning that you’re more apt to remember the P/P outs that you got and not the P/P hits that you’re getting.
Now if they said that P/P was going to be around 80% and if people have actual creditable data that it’s not, then SDS should come out and show what the data is.

Because we keep hoping they will come out with a good game.....you should know like 17' for example.

As stated in another post:
It's the only decent baseball sim game out there.
It's overall a good game but still flawed.
We love baseball.
Quit being a little baby and acting like everyone with a criticism are calling the game [censored]. Some people can enjoy something while still understanding there are major flaws to it. It's how people like you have friends. -

As another person said, the cognitive biases that make us remember the one time something went against us rather than the 9 times it was in our favor are the reason why (reasonable) people complain. Of course there will be unreasonable people complaining for all of their usual reasons, but nothing can be done about them -

Facts posting and commenting on gameplay before game is even out only to purchase 100 version in a couple weeks is crazy. Lol and saying devs are lying lol

But I do know that I prefer to hit the ball early instead of perfect to get a good result, and that's not how it should be.

17? You mean the game with the very late jammed 110mph exit velo home runs?
On perfects, they always combine the types (flyball, grounder, liner). What I would love is a breakout. I don’t doubt that (especially since say July or so) that 95%+ of perfect fly balls are hits (ie home runs), but that that directly means the others would have to be far lower than 80% to get to that average rate of success.

For sure, and not trying to go at you personally at all, you're one of the reasonable people here. Just trying to counter the argument people have made about p/p resulting in outs a lot more than the data has shown to be true.
SDS has also posted the stats for all players broken down by difficulty that shows the same thing individuals have found, although I understand skepticism that they would fudge numbers to make it look better.

That's an exaggeration, very late swings were just jammed balls as always. You're referring to just late swings, which yeah that was a tad unrealistic. Still that game was arguably the best compared to all the games that were released after.

My intent is not be argumentative but in my opinion, 17 was the last game that I enjoyed the most. I played way more online and its seemed to be more geared on skill than its predecessors. Even with the late is great.
18 was slow pitch
19 was line out
20 was pitched down the middle despite your perfect release
21 well I think it was ruined by pinpoint pitching and outlierYour point is well taken. I'd much rather play a game like 17 than the copy and paste I'm expecting for 22.

17 was the last good game for pitching as well. I loved pitching in that game.
