Yep, now he's gonna kill everyone from the Dodgers

Looks that way - Unless Cohen says WTF Alonso can DH and Freddie wants to stick it to the Braves --- I know not going to happen but I can dream
-
Or they'll somehow be able to keep Freddie and either play Matt Olson in the corner outfield, or simply use him as the DH.

I hope you're right. I'm not a Braves fan per se but I'd prefer him in Atlanta to LA.

Mets aren't getting anyone to play DH unless they release cano and eat his contract

Olson is a GG 1B if I'm not mistaken, be a waste of skill to DH him
-
Olsen in Right, Freddie at First. Send Joc to Cleveland. A guy can dream.

I agree - we are stuck with him for a year - hopefully he can still hit

While I kind of agree the Mets have a bunch of guys that would be best suited for DH and with Steve Cohen's money I don't think he would be upset about having to eat Cano's contract.

Correct, but so is Freddie. So in case Freddie does stay with Atlanta, I think it's highly unlikely they'll make him give up his position. So they'll have to look at options, and I think they would convert Olson to RF which he has played in the past. If they don't want that for whatever reason, they can always DH him.
More than anything this acquisition is an insurance for if Freddie does go and play elsewhere. If not, they'll have to figure out a way to get the most out of everyone.

The Braves traded away Pache in the Olson deal, seems like the plan is to play him in the OF

Hate is such a strong word...but yeah you're right. Ironically my grandpa was born and raised in Brooklyn so I love their history. And my hate is simply based on their success. Like Tom Brady.

LOL My hate for the Dodgers started in 1966. Maybe a little stupid and maybe a little complicated......one thing is for sure, I still hate them!!!!!

Honestly I don't think this has anything to do with how they plan to utilize Olson, Oakland just wanted high rated prospects in return and Pache fits that description.

I know you're a Texan now friend but are you from San Fran? I grew up in a divided house haha, Dad from SF, mom from St. Louis, Gramps from Brooklyn and myself from SD. My mom of course won my allegiance because she fed me.

Then I have to admit, Freddie should be a Dodger, at least that’s how I as a biased Dodger fan feel about him.

Actually I was born to Texan parents in San Diego. My dad stayed there after he was discharged from the Navy after WWII. Moved to El Segundo in 1960 which is by LAX. Pete Rose was responsible for me getting involved in organized ball after watching him on TV in 1963. So for the longest time I was a Reds fan before they were the Big Red Machine. Loved those guys but how could I not fall in love with Mays McCovey and Marichal in the 60’s when I was most impressionable. Played high school ball with a couple of guys who had great big league careers. Loved Bonds, Posey etc. baseball has been in my life since I was 9. What can I say lol

Oh that's awesome . We're home boys in the technical sense. The Giants have such an amazing history. My dad has regaled me with many a story. I'm actually reading 1954 NY Bill Madden right now.
I just wish the Cardinals could learn how to beat them in the playoffs.
I wonder if the Giants will become more active in the next few weeks. With the losses of Gausman, Posey and likely Bryant, I feel like they have a lot of ground to make up. Carlos Rodon is a great addition but they could use a few bats for sure.
