TO SDS:
Just get a bunch of minor leaguer's who need more money as it is...and get them in MoCap suits ASAP. We need to see more dazzling plays, more silly swings, more DADDY HACKS, more unconventional dives in the outfield. DD does not need more development. It's fine for now. Go Focus on the gameplay.
This could be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this forum. Kudos.
Which part is idiotic? Just disagreeing with no context or info to backup what your opinion usually doesn't get received well...
Are you saying the game animations, announcers, etc. aren't repetive?
Are you saying that asking for a better game is idiotic?
Are you saying Diamond Dynasty being "fine" is idiotic?

This game desperately needs a revamp or a Blizzard-level debacle to shake things up. The VERY repetitive animations and gameplay are unacceptable at this day and age. The day to day gameplay is already repetitive, I mean, it's baseball for God's sake. But to have the same diving, throwing, fielding animations is just plain lazy. Makes playing the game a bore once you realize it.
Ok, then what about this argument (based on two different types of games).
If SDS took time off, like the developers from the WWE 2Ks series, for a year or two and totally revamped the game; would the community complain that there wasn't a yearly game or would they go without it for that time period if most of the days would be fixed?
At the end of the day, I know money is what talks. So while everyone continues to pay for The Show every year, they will not take time off or reallocate their budget/workforce to revamp the gameplay.
All I'm doing here is stating my opinion on the subject at hand. I'm not a computer programmer but I can't imagine getting different player (fielding/throwing/hitting) animations implemented into the game to be some kind of earth shattering-mindnumbing suggestion.
What would happen if NBA 2K had the same dunk animation, shot animation, for almost every player? That would not work out too well at all...
I'm not saying to get every single pro player's physical ticks into the game. I'm saying we need more variety.
