You guys are really harsh on a game you get so much joy out of playing. I’ve been playing the series for years and each year it keeps getting better and better. Is it perfect, no, nothing is ever perfect. Is it the greatest baseball sim to ever exist, absolutely, without question it is. The graphics are fantastic. The physics amazing. There is so much content it is nearly overwhelming. And the game play, all considering skill level, is superb overall. I rate it a 10/10. If I could change anything related to game play, I’d make the pitching control much more difficult at all levels, make it so no one could consistently paint corners with impossible pitches.
More to a game than a single mode

I liked when grinding in ranked to make WS actually mattered, now the motivation just isnt there cause i could go 30-200 and get the same reward as the guy that goes 13-0 to WS.
1- Nothing about it actually matters, it’s a video game
2- Does anyone need motivation to play a video game?
3- Why compare yourself with other people? Their results are absolutely inconsequential to yours.
4- Are you playing only for wins and a subsequent (worthless) “prize” or are you playing because you enjoy playing baseball?1- If it doesnt matter why are you here
2- I'd say in a "Ranked setting" you should have some motivation to get better
3- ranked is suppose to be competitive and see where you rank amongst others
4- I use to play to make WS, but at about september this year, i realized why grind when i can just get it handed to me for 30 free wins.
overall the whole reward system in ranked needs a rework, make the reward non sellable at 30 wins. -
Overall game : 8.5/10
-
Graphics 10/10
Content (Including Programs, Battle Royal, Showdowns, Moments) 6/10
Online H2H (Oh, boy) 8/10
Pitching Difficulty 8/10
Hitting Difficulty 8/10
Realistic Gameplay 8/10
Overall Positives, Too much to point out, the game as a whole is fantastic.
Overall Negatives, Stamina, lack of OFM, freeze issues, and some other various bugs. Content needs am overhaul on the offline variant, conquest and moments are only so interesting before they're boring af.
Id wager its an 8/10. Best MLBTS we've had since 17, if they include OFM, its a solid 9 easy.

Overall I think I would give this ye....... SERVER DISCONNECTED

7/10 I play on PS4, really fun game. What keeps it from being great is the connection issues. Freeze offs are a way too common occurrence. Sometimes even off line the game just crashes. Without these seemingly fixable problems would be 9/10 easily

I think something people forget is you can complain about pitchinig and seeing it here blah blah pinpoint is OP they locate too much and then outlier and high sinkers are outrageous. then you play BR or all star events and its pitchers leave their pitches down the middle and non pci homeruns and constant foul offs.
do I think they could do better yes, but idk its so hard to balance bc you play a game where the opponent is hitting pitches no one in real life could and then theres games like 18+ strike outs each side and its like this is awful and I wanna hit dingers.cant say the game is much different but last year was my first DD and this year im obviously a lot better but still nothing crazy different. I thought BR program was awesome since I doubt ill ever get 12-0 and I think my ranked record is 92-21. I think stamina and confidence need reworked drastically. hope to make a league next year on the game with some ppl here

Exactly! I see the same people post the same [censored] about how mediocre this game is and how it needs sooooo much improvement and it honestly baffles me. There are definitely some things that they can work on but those sitting here giving it a 4.5/10 or even 6/10 are probably the same people who immediately go to yelp after they have an ok experience at a local restaurant. Relax
Hands down best baseball game ever created, and arguably the greatest sports game ever put out. By a mile. 9/10 is the very least this game should get
So accuse the other side of overstating things, then say that 9/10 is "the very least this game should get"?
Pot, meet kettle.
I think anywhere from 7-9 would be a fair overall score, depending on which aspects of DD speak to you.

switching from a life of Madden to first time TheShow it's a 10/10.

I’m not sure what grade I’d give, but what I’ll say is it’s my least favorite Show since coming back to the series in 19’.
I’ll start with the positives, the parallel system is great as well as the new BR path…surprisingly the mode I played last became the only one I could tolerate.
Now for some of what made this year more frustrating than satisfying…
The first month. Barely playable. Enough said.
A personal thing, but everyone always praises all the great “content”, but to me cards are basically skins and to me it isn’t necessarily content. And at least for me, there was so many cards…nothing felt special anymore…and I just kind of stopped caring. Now that’s better than the alternative, but when I’m grinding to get cards, only to get it and realize there’s already an upgrade that’s easily obtainable it starts to feel like, what’s the point? Especially when most are locked behind moments, showdowns and the like, which are beyond tedious at this point. It’s nothing but busy work. And maybe the worst, literally spending 22 minutes simming to clear a conquest map. Not fun.
I mentioned in positives, I did enjoy Br this year. It was nice to go in a mode and know I likely had a chance to score some runs and have fun, but the negative to this is, I don’t need cards to play BR. To me the fun of the game had been slowly building a team and using players in Ranked/Events. But when all I’m really playing is BR, again it left me asking, what’s the point of grinding for cards, or even doing a BR program for cards I don’t use…because…
Ranked seasons was a nightmare. The existence of outlier with inconsistent connections is a nightmare. The last month of constant freezes, nightmare. Bunt cheese because people know it’s the only chance they have, setting up defenses perfectly but still not being able to stop it due to animations, infuriating nightmare.
No hyperbole. The last month or so I played. I’m fairly certain I only finished 1 ranked game and it was a game i lost. It made me start to question if anyone actually enjoys playing this game…I honestly think most people are simply addicted to the reward path.Another nail in the coffin for me was seeing Kevingohd play games from years and years ago and they look just about the same. And the presentation and animations are arguably better. Seeing that and realizing after 3 years the numerous issues that don’t get addressed made the Show start to feel like the other sports titles that I’d given up on long ago.
I stopped playing over a month ago, way sooner than the last two years. I realized the game was causing more frustration than joy, or I was just waisting my time with the afore mentioned busy work. I let this game consume me in many ways, and I thought it was great, but I think I’ve genuinely been happier not playing the game and spending my time playing all sorts of experiences such as Hades, GOTG, currently started Disco Elysium.
So, not sure a grade, as I’m also not sure how much of this is simply burnout. If I’m being generous and not completely tanking the score based on the first month, which really was unacceptable, I’m thinking around a 6. And I do not plan on picking up next years title. Only way I’d consider is if they actually built the game from scratch for next gen…and even then it would probably be wise to give a year as they work out issues.

7.5/10.....needed a change of pace from madden and the show is def much better imo....i love football but the constant glitches, meta spammers, etc is pushing me away
