Opponent rating system

I’m not great at online games but when Dan Plesac says at the end the higher grade opponent came in and took care of business as expected you wonder about the ratings matching. I love this game but I’m not sure I feel I have a chance against anyone. (FYI, I just turned 70.) Any suggestions on how to even up the matchups? In another thread, it was suggested “hold the lever to the left”. Lever?
And a suggestion for the future: Make a 3-inning version of RS games. Call them something else but let me use one of my lineups rather than Event squads. I might have a better chance.

Which game mode are you referring to? The only one where you can hold the opponent rating bar to the left is Ranked Seasons. That will make it so you matchup with someone + or - ~75 or so from your current rating(doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be much better than their current rating or have a fully loaded team of every top card). It’s the best you can do though.
BR and events you can’t control the matchup bar. Your matchups there are just based on your current run in that game mode. If you are 0-0 you should match up with someone else who is 0-0 or maybe 1-0 or 0-1. Of course the longer it takes to find you an opponent the bigger discrepancy in your records. This all really doesn’t mean much because an absolute goon who has 10+ Flawless runs can be 0-0 starting a new run and you can matchup with him.

Ok, that makes a little more sense. Was actually referring to Events. Maybe I should try playing RS more.
