Stealing bases

So I did some searching but to no avail. Has anyone else had an issue with stealing bags? Seems like more that half the time when I steal, my runner will just stop and glitch halfway between the bags. Then he is obviously thrown out by a mile. When I watch the replays it's almost like a glitchy trip and then he goes into like a basketball guarding position before attempting to continue running.

I haven't seen anything in my games yet; however, some Youtubers have shown some of those running and sliding glitches.
