Why?

Why would you enter a BR game and after you strike out 3 times in the of the first decide to just lay your controller down for the rest of the game?
I mean, don't get me wrong; I appreciate the free stats and all. But why?

BR, Events & Ranked is all random with who you get matched up to play against. Luck of the draw in your favor if you are matched with these equal your skill or inferior to your skill. And against your favor if you are matched to those with skills superior to yours. When the Win itself matters more then anything else. Especially with BR because you need to win 12 games before you lose 2 games or with Events with needing to win as many games you could before losing 2 & needing to then re-enter. At times it's best to just quit & take the loss & hope the next match up is in your favor. whats the point playing the game out in BR or Events if you see within the 1st Inning you are CLEARLY OUT-MATCHED. As Long as 1 has enough stubs & are willing to spend those stubs entering BR as many times needed until they get 12 wins just to earn the BR Banner or earn a certain card they are after. Then so be it. I myself gave up on BR 2 years ago. I see no sense in spending stubs when I can not & will not be able to reach 12 wins before I lose 2 games. My game play is NOT at that level. best I have done a few times is reach 8 wins. My overall average is 4 wins per entry.

I think your explanation is different than what I asked.
My opponent struck out with his first three batters then proceeded to wait forever to pitch and when he did it was right down the middle.
If I didn't hit it for a homerun, I was able to round the bases anyway as his fielders just stood there.
After getting about 12 runs in the bottom of the first I decided to bunt out and get thrown out at home after stealing second and third to end the inning. Then I pitched 9 straight fastballs down the middle where he didn't even swing the bat for three straight strikeouts.
Then again he waited until the CPU pitched and I out up another 23 runs before getting out 3 times.
Then in the top of the third when he had to put in a pinch hitter we sat there until his 3 min timer ran out forfeiting the game.
I'm not complaining because I finished the 10XBH, 40TBs, and 6 Bases with Bichette missions and got up to 76pts in the BR Reward Path.
Just wondering why they just wouldn't have played it out or quit earlier.
