The first card I got to P2 (I know, slow down their buddy) is a card I wasn't planning on keeping.
FS Nolan Gorman.
So, are these RIB card actually worth locking in?
Technically, if I do the Conquest enough, I can get doubles, even triples, of each player and just sell them off after locking in the first 11.
But is that throwing away close to 220K in stubs?

Let me ask you this; How valuable is 220k in stubs to you? And how easy can you obtain those stubs differently?
I ask because I’m at a stub premium at this point and no matter what I spend I make them back relatively easily. Now if I go off and spend 300k it’ll leave a dent, but with free content I recoup a lot.
The must have cards to this point are fewer and fewer each content update. Minus a few big priced cards I have almost every card. And those big stub cards I don’t have I’m convinced I don’t need.
In my situation I pretty much keep every card I earn.

Yep, what he said exactly. If you learn to flip cards you can make stubs anytime you want. I do it while watching the playoffs. Not to mention the many ways to earn them in the game. The US Map has it's value again and can be grinded for between 150k-200k stubs. I am keeping every card I get but my goal is to own every Diamond card and possibly every Legend and Flashback card. I love being able to assemble thousands of different roster combinations. Ultimately though, like quinny says, if you don't want the card and see no benefit in collecting, sell and keep on pushing.

If you only just P2 a card why would you lock anything in????

It's not that I only go up to P2. It's just that he is one of the 3 RIB hitters I have in my lineup trying to finish out the RIB program.
The other two (Ruiz and Mattingly) are both P1s.
I'm at 65 points in the program and still have the Conquest (35) and Showdown to do (15).
Once I finish the Conquest map; unless I want to parallel any of the 11 cards, or if they're needed for an Event, they probably won't make my lineup.
While I may need them for Mo, Betts, Kershaw, and anyone else (if they do another collection) I'd rather lock in non-sellable cards first.
Do I need the stubs? Probably not. I have 250K now and nothing that I want to buy.
I may need the stubs later though, if I want to get 99 Ohtani, or any of the WS/BR rewards I don't get from playing.
I'm assuming that these RIB card will keep their value and stay around 22-25K each, so even if I don't lock the 'first' ones in; I won't have to pay extra.
I may just wait until I see how long it takes me to get the other ones (I bought these ones) just by aying and go from there.
