I get banned for this; so here goes:
There is no f'n way in hell that these Moments in the 8th Inning Showdown are on the difficulty listed.
NEVER once have I seen the CPU intentionally walk a batter, on Veteran difficulty, other than in these f'n Moments.
And don't get my started in my first three power hitting batters, who ALL have 100+ power and contacts vs righties, hit THREE straight grounders to first only to have the CPU come up in the bottom of the inning and hit a slider low and away for a moonshot.

Oh yeah, for sure a ban incoming. They may even take your Playstation from you physically. You went way too far.

Just saw chris taylor take a low and away slider from a righty and hit the yellow line on the wall in left center.

Some of the challenges have the sliders amped up but any of the Sale ones, including the last one, were not so bad for me as I seem to read his delivery pretty well.

I have no issues with Sale. I beat him both times you face him in the mini missions (get a hit) (score a run). It's the right handed pitchers that foil me. Mainly Treinen and Mills.
Out of 6 attempts, I love gotten past the first Treinen twice (where you have to score two runs before making 20 outs).
I have yet to score the two runs against Mills. The 4 total bases/runs vs either Giants pitchers. And I've had the tiring and winning run on 3rd/2nd, against Treinen, three times and all three times I can't get it out of the infield.
Heck, I had Berti on 3rd the one time with two outs left and he was the winning run and I tried a suicide squeeze and the batter popped it up in the air.
I've attempted the final Sale once. Down 6-15 and scored 8 runs before losing.
The other times I just quit because I wasn't attempting it with less than 6 runs on the board.

Everyone isn’t at the same skill level. If you have the skills to complete a showdown and you fail it, 95% of the time it’s on you. You either aren’t being patient enough or your taking bad swings/making base running mistakes. It’s not likely that the game just hates you and the CPU is cheating for SDS’s benefit.
This was probably the hardest showdown for me this year, but I still completed it on the first run. Like you said earlier when you made your complaint thread, maybe just skip it and grind some Play Vs CPU for your XP.
