Birthday players to use today...
-
I have a
️ trivia of the day calendar that also tell me whose birthday it is. So, here's a stupid challenge that you can do for fun or completely ignore, up to you. I'll post the relevant birthdays and you plug them into your roster and see how they do. Again, if you think this is lame, you're not wrong, just ignore.
Today's birthdays:
Zack Greinke
Whitey Ford -
A good way to keep the lineup fresh!
-
Intriguing. You started off with some easy ones. But I really like this idea
-
Yeah I enjoyed using the signature Ford and Greinke. Not normally cards I'd use at this stage but fun nonetheless.
I know it's early but technically it's now Friday Oct. 22nd
It should be a good one but they don't have the rights to one of the game's best. So happy Birthday to:
Ichiro Suzuki
Robinson Cano
Jimmie FoxxObviously Foxx is the only one with a card and it's an oldie but a goodie. I'll toss him in my AL East theme team and see how I do.
-
Rather do this than a moment.

Who do you start at first on May 27th?

No clue, it's a tear away calendar so I mo longer have that date but I shall look it up. I think it would be cool if SDS did this as a daily mission towards the end of the game when we have so many cards we never use.
I'm about to put Jinmie Foxx on a Red Sox theme team with Kike, Eovaldi, Mookie, Papi etc.
Edit: so yeah, May 27th is a good one, Bagwell, Frank Thomas, Yoan Moncada, Jose Berrios to name a few. I'm guessing you knew that since you specifically put first base and there are two HOFers.

Frank Thomas and Jeff Bagwell were both born 5/27/68.

I just looked it up and edited my post. That's cool, I never knew they were the exact same age.

I was 14 and collecting baseball cards when I first noticed. 30 years later and I still think it's cool.

I mean it's the Killer B and The Big Hurt. They were the monsters of baseball and just so cool. I was always worried they would get dragged into the steroid speculation (especially Bagwell) but they have remained clean and both are well deserving Hall of Famers.

Today's birthday card to use:
Al Leiter. I know a lot of people liked his card earlier in the game cycle. I have not used him much but will definitely do so this weekend.
What does everyone think of him?
-
Happy Bday Pedro Martinez
I know his H/9 isn't elite but he still slings.
-
Got any for September 14th?

The only players in the game are Gregory Polanco and Andrew Vasquez.

If his was 2K I’d get jimmy buckets. And maybe if this was Parappa The Rapper I’d get nas???

He may not be the fastest man on the planet and not everyone lives his swing, but I usually mash when I use him.
Happy birthday to Ralph Kiner
