Pinch hitting with pitchers

Due to bad BR drafting on my part, 77 Zack Greinke is my best option off the bench against LH pitching. If I use him as a ph for my pitcher, will the game make me use him for three batters next inning? According to the rule book, i could replace him with a reliever, but this game isn’t 100% correct when it comes to the rules (the pitcher as the ghost runner instead of the batter behind him In extra innings being another example).

I think you are right to think they make him stay in to pitch. At least in years past they did. Unless they fixed it. Probably not a good chance in that.
