Flash Sale and a Stub Sale

So, I just read that there is a Flash Sale scheduled for today. But there is also a stub sale going on at the moment
How will that work? Isnt a Flash Sale meant to being costs of players down; but at the same time a Stub Sale inflates them?
What's their logic here?

Their logic is to get people to buy stubs on sale to purchase the packs. How it effects the market isn't in their motivations for doing things

I understand. I'm just a little miffed that I just bought SS Miller the other day for 120K, thinking he would go up a little with the sale, and he's already down 20K.
Oh well, not going to be my first, or last, time wasting stubs.
