Positives from XP Cap

SDS

OK I am so tired of all the negative outlooks on the XP caps I thought I list out

  1. Bosses mean something now - the value of these cards are important again and you will get value for them.

  2. Henchmen and classics hold there values.

  3. New ways to earn XP - the extra inning missions promote new ways to play and gave offline players something else to play that gives program progress.

  4. Rewards are increased - AS pack, HRD pack, 90+ Live choice pack these are direct result of the xp cap

  5. Rewarded for playing ALL the game. If you play all aspects of this game and do all the inning program mission and task you will be rewarded and not punished because someone wants to sit and walk batters for 16 hours.

More on point 5 if you only focus on one aspect of this game (offline only for example) you should not be able to obtain the inning rewards at the same pace as someone who will play all aspects and complete all the missions. I know this maybe hard for some to wrap their heads around but this is a integrated online and offline game mode not a offline only or online only game mode

I like the idea of the XP cap, but 35K is up after 6 games. I think they should bump it up to 50 and more on the weekends!

I’m waiting for the guys to bring up ballplayer archetype. Even though it clearly isn’t as rampant or as effective as people would lead you to believe. Considering there isn’t a lot of boss cards on the market right now. Yes more and more people will pick up on that method and next inning guys will have this method preloaded but maybe SDS nerfs that for next inning. For sheer enjoyment and anticipation of that being the case I got my popcorn ready. Next inning will be “how can SDS nerf my ballplayer?”

For market stabilization this wasn’t a bad choice on SDS’s part. Yet some people on here are so singularly focused they have no sight of a bigger picture. I hope you’re ready for the XP nerf conspiracist to come blow your nice positive post up.

Also since this is newly implemented it’s not the final version of XP cap. I’m sure they will look at data and adjust if necessary.

You don’t need XP to play the game. The game plays exactly the same with or with out it

SDS

No, its still just dumb. Go back to the previous system of program stars and allow XP to be its own program. We solve the issue using a system that wasn't broken, and everybody is happy.

SDS

love it, earn your XP, again i'm almost at 175k in 48hours. most people complaining are the ones exploiting.

I wouldn't mind getting rid of XP completely and going back to program stars. Under the program star system no one was upset that they couldn't complete the program to the max. They were just happy with the inning boss. It was also more difficult in comparison to get to the boss pack. Strictly XP gave people an opportunity to easily make it to the end of the path when they wouldn't have nearly gotten there based on what their play time is last year. Exploiters are still going to exploit. What I don't understand is why people that log in for the daily moment and then playing 14 hours on a Sunday are mad that people that login and play every single day are rewarded more. It will still be extremely easy to get the boss pack

And just for reference im at 110k xp at the moment. I have about 18k in online missions left, I did not do the 50k collection. I haven’t maxed out all of my dailies. Still have last Fridays moments left and I got 35k cap left for today. So I got atleast 100k of earn-able xp left. Then take in account more content to be dropped such as showdown, player programs and more collections. You could have a boss just by playing the game in the next 2 to 3 days.

I'm at 115k have the wins and extra innings stuff to complete

Made a cool 30k of the henchmen which is double what I made off any previous henchmen. I found online way more enjoyable last night as well.

I really feel like this is going to filter out those who do not play this game and only try and game the system

As a couch market analyst I’ve been wrong on my predictions of card value this year. I kept my henchmen. I got burned bad on the HRD cards early on. Got Alonzo and another high card. Sold them off early for under 100k. Assuming more of these cards would be released. And I could get them back at a value. Nope!!!!

Not everyone has weekends to play. Some people work more or have more going on life wise then. You go make it expanded on weekends and you are going to have am entirely different group complaining about that. Personally I have no problem with the 35k, but I think if they do expand it, it needs to be expanded in a consistent manner.

SDS

I just think the timing is stupid. Should have been this way from the beginning, or implemented to start next year. The baseball season is almost over, Madden is out, 2K is coming, this is where they should have taken the wheels off, not added restrictions. Anything to turn players off at this point in the season is a bad idea.

SDS

I think the cap will limit how much players get burnt out instead of driving players away

SDS

One way they could fix it is letting the cap cumulate. So if you don’t do it one day next day you can go to 70k. And then 105k and so on. Or even do it with a penalty. Like 35k for the current day and 20-25k for any day after. So 35k today, 60k tomorrow, 85k the rd day and so on. (This would probably need to be it so the exploiters can’t just save up and have it ready for the first day it’s available but would still slow the bosses becoming available). Don’t know what systems they have and how they could code it. Maybe set it at a inning cap that releases 35k a day. But this would seem to take the number 1 excuse people have for complaining about it(and we know most of those guys were really just exploiting and can’t say that’s why they are made so finding any reasons to complain to cause a stir).

I like this idea. Just have it automatically reset at the start of a new inning.

Also, I'll admit I was a bit wrong on this one. I'm already a decent amount of xp into the program and while I was annoyed getting stopped by the xp cap, selling Nola for 90k last night was nice. Selling the two henchmen early essentially paid for one of the 5th inning bosses I collected.

SDS

If you got a 95 plus rated squad, what you hunting? At 95 plus overall you should be playing solid games against anybody who aint doing northing fishy.IMO a 95 Groshans for example can outdo a 99 Franco at ss on any given day,if the natural laws of the known universe apply. A 99 Lefty Grove aint worth sweating about if a 97 Lee is doing the job.I like to play the GAME and not worry about my XP or what Tootie Green got playing for him.Get Corey Seager to level 5 he can hit good as anyone .Went around the barn there a little but im saying play hard XP will take care of Itself. How many players on your squad hit 50 plus homers for instance?

SDS

This XP thing is temporary i think, its way to low .Anyone and everyone agrees . But glitching needs acknowledged also.To me any time you take unscrupulous advantage you are unscrupulous.Dont particularly matter what they implement long as i heads up [censored] Dastudly an Smugsley something is up

This post highlights how little you understand economics or markets.

  1. the values don’t change. The only thing that changes is how fast they fall and who gets the stubs. So, congratulations on arguing for something that obviously benefits you personally.

  2. again, they aren’t going to hold their values. They will (and have fallen) just like normal if only a few hours later. So, again, congrats on arguing for your own selfish benefit.

  3. the only “new” way to earn xp is from extra innings (and it is relatively small). The non-walk method folks who wanted bosses fast always did the bonus missions prior to this anyways.

  4. this is simply wrong. SDS always increases rewards as the game goes on and putting those rewards at the end of the path is unrelated to an xp cap. It’s just what they do (again, I don’t think you understand how the cap actually works)

  5. the only thing SDS should have fixed was the walk method garbage. There was no need to punish people who just like to grind out the bosses on release of a program.

What it seems is that you are arguing in favor of this because it will benefit you personally, even if it takes away the fun from someone else. The only obvious thing from all of this is that SDS needs a new programming team, since their current group clearly isn’t up to the task of actually fixing problems.

I have 75% of all the cards in this game

I have 3 bosses

I have completed all but 1 program to 650k and that 1 program being the 5th because I took more breaks.

Regardless of what changes SDS makes I will succeed at this game the right way by playing this game.

I get little to know time to play during the weekend and only play 2-3 hours at night during the week.

Am I happy I benefited from the increased value of cards yes

Am I trying to find Positives in this change very much so

Am I being selfish maybe a little but at least I'm not on here throwing the biggest man child fit because I can't rail off 10 or 11 runs on the CPU on rookie in conquest for hours and get the sake rewards as someone who puts in the time and plays all aspects of the game.
