Lmao why? DD itself was great but as bad as you think gameplay is now, 17 was much worse.

The basics of 17 played way better. There’s no justifying no pci homeruns.

There’s no justifying hitting a no doubt opposite field HR getting jammed on your hands either.

Fielding and base running were a million times worse as well.

You could go back to 1st on a steal when you’re half way to 2nd if you got a bad jump because the animations were so slow. You could also score from 2nd on a routine ground ball pretty regularly. It was a mess. You miss the nostalgia, not the gameplay.

Both of these things happened to me tonight in the first inning

If you can’t throw someone out changing their mind on a steal, that’s a you problem. Scoring from 2nd still happens occasionally but no where near as often as 17. Not even close.

My guess is neither of these things happened to you without YOU allowing it to happen by doing something wrong like throwing to the wrong base or faking a throw and the animation, as it should, causes a natural pause. In 17 you could do everything correct and still get screwed especially with the base running exploits that were rampant in that game.

Tbh you’re prolly right, just had a better overall experience that year. Ranked was fun and content seemed great. Just not having fun this year at all.

How many months/years total have you NOT played a version of the show since 17?

17 was a great game. That being said, some of the animations were pretty exploitable, and when I went back to play OFM during 18 and 19, that was my biggest gripe along with the still constant disconnect from servers.
