If I had to rate this years experience compared to other years so far

It’s easily near the bottom with 18 and 20. Content is the only thing saving this game. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

naw hitting is bad right now, i get maybe 5 hits on hall of fame compared to the 10-15 i got about 6 weeks back

At a basic level, it should be better since my two biggest complaints, meatballs on good input and check swings were fixed pretty well. However, I really don't have fun on HoF anymore, maybe it's that I can't hack it with the small PCI, but it means I really don't play much ranked anymore

Easily near the bottom with 18??? Nahhh man... Not even close!

Last year I had over 600 ranked games played. This year, around 50 or so. HOF aid just straight up boring. No reason to play ranked anymore.

The games is trash.
Ppp ruined it, you shouldn't be able to throw perfect pitches with every pitcher all game long.
Hitting was awesome, but for whatever reason they decided to nerf hitting as they release better hitters, but not touch pitching as they released degrom, Cabrera, and now Nolan. Get ready for a constant degrom/Ryan combo.
The fielding animations are horrible. Catcher can't tag a runner out unless they get the ball while the runner is a good 20 feet from the plate. Bunting is OP, every game in extras players a are bunting because, again hitting in garbage.
The mookie collection was a money hungry slap to the face.
Can't see fastballs.
Sinkers are 100 mph curveball.
Cutters are 98mph sliders.
And again They are thwon right where you want them, which is usually just outside the zone, I mean so close they could almost be a strike.
Overall, hitting is the most fun and exciting thing in baseball. When homruns are up baseball has good viewership, when they are down the league juices the baseballs. No one wants to play these stupid pitching duels every game.
[censored] this game.

Astro fan so you know they suck at the game. It’s the best mlb the show since 17

The show 20 was my first one, and I lived to play ranked. I can’t remember my record or how many games, but I had a ton of fun getting beat down in ranked.
This year I’m 26-10 and have to make myself play ranked. Once I get in a game, I wish I never started one because I don’t want to quit and get an L, but the 1 hour pitch simulator is very not an enjoyable experience in any capacity. Every pitch doting the corner or on the black with occasional 102 high fast ball or curve in the dirt. Once you finally get ahold of one, it’s either a HR or pop up.
Don’t get me started on fielders and catchers going brain dead on tags and bunts. Smh I wish I could still just play 20, but I switched to Xbox series X.

And RTTS progression/other mechanics are completely broken and unaddressed since the game dropped 4 months ago. YouTubers have found work arounds, but they don’t work everytime. It’s awesome that YouTubers are trying to fix the game but SDS isn’t.

You know how dumb it is to bring up someone’s favorite team to try to prove a point? What does that have to do with anything?
