    I can hit the 102mph most of the time from Degrom and Ryan... but yeah this 5th inning showdown is juiced. Ridiculous to get perfect hits on rookie and its still an out. This is the first showdown this year I haven't beaten after the first couple tries. I've lost this one 4 times now... my problem is the more times I lose it... the more I want to complete it.

    I've switched from SZ 2 to SZ a couple weeks ago. My lineup is now ALL R hitters except 2 so I can turn and burn on the inside heaters all day long. Problem solved.

    The speed differentials are what make the outliers hard to hit. The timing windows changing constantly doesn't help either.

    102 mph up and in is impossible to hit and everyone knows it. Even worse if it has movement like DeGrom's. Then there are the 100 mph up and in sinkers.

    This game is just so much more fun earlier on in the life cycle when you don't have to deal with this kind of stuff every game. I wish there was more of an incentive to play events because the lineup/rotation restrictions make the game a lot more fun.

    I don't see 102mph up and in being THAT hard to hit until you're playing on legend. Just guess first pitch fastball if the guy you're facing starts to favor it, or pay attention to his pitch calls/sequences.

    Just beat 102 Ryan in Showdown...had to wait him out a lot and work the count and also guess fastball 90% of the time. Just keep fighting off fastballs until he leaves one in the wrong spot.

    Yes, I can't either most of the time. I somehow managed to take Nolan Ryan deep with Griffey in an event game tonight. I was on cloud nine 😂

    The problem isn't that the pitch is 102, it's that it is 102 ALL THE TIME. If your going to have an outlier, you cannot have every fastball every inning 102. That's the most unrealistic stuff ever. Pitchers tire and lose velocity.
    Whenever I see these guys online I just quit because I know how stupid the game is going to be.
