Seeking advice from experienced players

I am new to the game this year and play DD almost exclusively. I really enjoy completing the collections and earning my way through but have some questions.
I play mostly vs cpu on All-Star difficulty or lower because I am terrible at online play.
I have completed all the TA programs so far and some player programs. I've only completed the 4th inning program. I missed on the earlier programs and am almost done with the LS.
-
What can I do earn more stubs? I don't quite understand working the marketplace.
-
Is there any advice that you can give to help make DD more enjoyable?
Thanks for reading this. Sorry for the lengthy post.

I am new this year also and play mostly offline as well.
- Working the marketplace basically means spending part of your time playing the game by doing things to make stubs. Not really by playing things like Conquest, BR, etc....but by things like buying and selling. One of the main things that people do is "flip" cards. Basically they look for something they can buy and then sell and there will be a profit. You have to account for the 10% tax on your sell and the most important thing with flipping is to look for things that are moving. You will see things like old BR cards that have a HUGE gap...but there may only be one or two sold a day.
There is also "investing" which is buying things you think will be worth more later on. There are some pretty safe ways to do this and others are a gamble, because things don't always go the way people expect. For instance people will invest a ton in a gold player that everyone knows should go diamond and then that player doesn't go diamond. Or leading up to yesterday a lot of people just expected the market to go crazy with the collection and then there was the flash sale.
- The thing that has made it more enjoyable for me is remembering it is my first year, taking time to practice instead of play seriously and playing the modes that I enjoy. I have realized I don't want the seriousness of Ranked..so I normally play one ranked game a week. On the other hand I really enjoy BR, Conquest and up until the previous event I have enjoyed events. I spend my time there because it is fun and things like that allow me to practice on things instead of worrying about my rank going down.

To simplify it and to get some practice, find some bronzes at quicksell value (25 stubs) that are selling for 200+ stubs. Buy a bunch at quicksell and then list them just under the buy now price. You’ll make about 100-150 stubs per.
That will give you an idea of how it works and then you can look for some higher priced cards that have bigger margins. Some silvers you can get for 100 stubs and sell them for 300-400 for example.

If your offline you have a lot of options. Have you done all the conquest maps? If not you get a ton of free packs. If you want to stay away from working the market I’d recommend getting all the free packs you can.
Additionally work through all the topps now moments. You can sell what ever you get for right around 8-10k a card. Or keep the cards. They are needed for bigger collections like monthly and huge player collections.
The toughest thing to do as a new player is focus on single task. With new content every week it’s easy to jump around and lose sight of completing programs/collections/conquest... etc.
If you’ve completed the TA’s than you’re well aware of the grind. To make DD more enjoyable I’d say just try all the modes. Find the ones you really like. Use your own experience and don’t read too much into guys that post on here. Yes their advice can be good at times, but it’s your gaming experience.

USA conquest map. Gives you XP and a bunch of cards to sell for a nice profit

make sure you have at least 1 hour of gametime so you don't feel rushed because baseball and hitting in particular is a game of patience - waiting for your pitch - play RS and Events to make stubs, as well as BR if you are good at hitting, also conquest gives tons of free packs and stubs - best of luck to you
