Why does Rollins have no power but Larkin does?

Looking at their real life stats for years in game, both won mvp. Rollins has 30 homers and 20 triples and slugged .531. Larkin only had 15 homers and slugged .492.

I don’t really get this, if anything Rollins should have at least the same righty power Larkin does just for both sides. And Larkin should not have 100+ v. Lefties imo. Maybe it’s just in the era Larkin played in shortstops didn’t hit for much power?
