Real question
How do you fix that without removing the needed skill gap?

I'm sorry man I don't understand what your asking?
What skill gap. Matchmaking should put you with player your own skill level. If an elite player gets to play me while I'm on a win streak, when do it get to play someone in the 400s?

Sorry, I'll rephrase it a bit.
You said it's made for the average player to suffer.
How do you make them not suffer? The issue seems to be that if you rank high enough you'll go against someone who is better at stick skills. So what is the fix?

By letting average players play each other. I get playing someone a little better every now and then but when I've never been alive 700 why an I playing ws players in the event and in BR

Ok, so then once people make WS, they tank their rating so they can be guaranteed to be matched up against someone else who is 400 and beat up on all of them in events or BR

I don't think Event and BR goes in your RS ranking. It goes by what your W/L record is during that Event/BR run

So you're in the 400s and you play other people in the 400s and get your 40 wins to get Cespedes while other people are sweating and playing people in the 900 to get the same card. Why should people at a lower skill Gap get the exact same card as the elite players and possibly get it quicker and be able to sell it for more? That's not fair whatsoever. If you want to play low level players then you shouldn't get the same rewards. If they design it that way I understand. Otherwise its screwing over people that are better at the game.

All I'm saying is they could do better and it wouldnt be hard to do. It's deflating

its so easy to make stubs why in the world would u spend extra money on this game. and matchingmaking matches u with people i think around 150 below and above then the slider moves to help find games quicker if u want u can move the slider back and forth and keep it on a certain area rank so u dont hopefully get matched with high ranks.(but it could also be that they havent played ranked this season or last and got world series in the 1st one)

OK but how is it fair for the guys in the 900s to get games against people way under them in events and br? And I understand what your saying. To be honest I wasn't considering the reward cards. But, a 900 playing a 900 is no different that a 400 playing a 400 because all 4 players are playing someone just as good as them.

I'm legit asking that question, because I really can't think of anything outside of adding in RNG to level the playing field, therefore reducing the skill gap and making people mad.

I don't think events and BR matches are based on your RS rating but I could be wrong. When your game is searching and the bar is moving just don't let it keep searching. Stop the bar. At the same time it searches for players ranked higher it also searches for players ranked lower. If you want to be guaranteed to get opponents near you just don't let the search bar go any further than it starts. Might take longer to find a game but the ranking will be similar to yours.

Events and BR do not let you control your bar.
Also yes, RS does not matter. It is only the run. So if I am on an 11-0 run in BR, it tries to match me with someone else who is 11-0 on that run

I think ranked matchmaking is good. I think they screw you in br and events when you win a couple games. It doesn't have to be perfect but when a player on my level is getting ws players and 12-0 banners on a regular basis then something is wrong man. I honestly don't mind losing but these games are complete blowouts.

I know BR was like that I wasn't sure if events was like that I could have sworn there was a search bar in events but I really never paid attention to it. My 11-0 BR run a couple weeks ago matched me with Kyle, lost that game 3-2. Then my 11-1 game vs Healy who i lost like 4-3 but 8 should have beat him. When I saw Kyle I almost threw my controller out the front door.

Because you are going against someone else who has won a few games in a row and that makes absolute sense. The more you win, the more likely you are going against someone else who is winning to.
Would it make sense to face someone in BR who is on an 0-1 run while you are going for your 12th win? Of course not.
It's easy to avoid that in events if you don't want to face those people, just forfeit your run, there really is no penalty for doing so aside from having to set your lineup again

I agree with this otherwise lower-tier players will be rewarded with high tier rewards because they have a low-ranked Seasons rating which would make no sense for a BR run.

If it makes you feel better he probably did the same thing when you got a hit on a pitch that wasnt perfectly in the center of your PCI. Or when he made good contact and it didnt go 500ft. He is king of the temper tantrum.
