No progress in Painter Archetype?

My RTTS player has the Sparkplug archetype in my 2B and DH loadouts, but I use the Painter archetype in my P loadout. I accrue progress for the Sparkplug missions just fine when I'm a hitter, but only once in a while (maybe once every 3 starts) when I pitch. And yes, I do change loadouts each game. I've written SDS twice about this and haven't received a reply, and it certainly hasn't been fixed. Does this happen to anyone else and have you found a workaround? Thanks
