Friend flails at every pitch in showdown

Gave him the secret sauce to breeze by this new showdown. Draft speed. Drag bunt. Get a timely hit. Repeat. Couldn’t be easier.
What does he do? The opposite. Claims he doesn’t get any speed players and then goes up and flails at every pitch. Knowing full well they bait heavily in showdown.
Then he gets mad and threatens to quit. Says it’s a “bad game”.
Any tips?

In his defense Showdowns suck sooo. It’s a great concept flawed with bad sliders.

Why would you draft speed and bunt. Draft power and hit. Couldn't be easier.

Is this the same friend who spent hundreds of dollars on packs using his dad's credit card? My tip would be to get new friends.

It’s dumb to do that but showdown sucks. The finale always feel like I swing a noodle and the individual moments every fielder is Byron buxtin or Ozzie smith.
Showdown, especially the inning bosses, is one of the most angering things I’ve ever done in a video game because it often feels that things are completely out of your comtrol.
