Affinity Points Question

I thought from the streams they had said that you cannot go past the current reward level max in affinity points (70 per team) and had to wait until the next series of affinity rewards were unlocked to accumulate more points. I just want to clarify this because I just finished the regular season of MTO, but if I did the playoffs I would go well passed the 70 points and don’t want to waste them. Thanks.

I can confirm this, it does not let you pass 70.
