Is regular teams head to head fun at all?

Seems pointless grinding out a game when half the team can’t hit, or does it play similar to DD?

In before “git gud”

I’d played only MLB teams (always Oakland) for years, and only started DD last year. I enjoyed it, and thought it played well… I wonder if all these gods we stack teams with don’t screw with the game mechanics, but I haven’t played that mode in a while, so can’t say that it didn’t just break last year.
Anyway, you get to chose difficulty instead of having to “earn” HOF or legend, and there was a larger variety of balls in play (not all flies HRs, not all line drives caught).
As long as you don’t mind playing the Dodgers, Astros, and Yankees 80% of the time, the games are enjoyable.
Unless you like arcade style, then no.
