I’m genuinely curious, so I did a test.

First off, ask yourself this question...what is a directional hitters best chance?
Answer: Pitches in the middle of the zone, or thereabouts.
Test: And it only took one game. I started throwing EVERY single pitch at the very top of the zone and middle, immediately my pitches were being FORCED into the middle on GOOD release (user input doesn’t matter) and obviously my opponent crushed them all. I continued, for the rest of the game all my pitches were top middle...EVERY ONE...it was obvious what I was doing. So what happens, my opponent fouls off almost every one except for some swing and misses, and it wasn’t until my pitches were ONCE AGAIN forced down the middle that he got a hold of one.
So, if I’m throwing EVERY pitch in the same location all game long, a zone hitter will sit there and crush every one....if your on directional and you can’t place your PCI in a certain location your going to get a ton of fouls or misses, exactly what my opponent was doing.
Conclusion: SDS has evened the playing field for directional hitters by FORCING your pitches to a hitable location for them. Why else would my pitches be controlled by the game regardless of where I aim with good release? It’s to give directional players a better chance.
And don’t come at me with “you can’t tell if someone is using directional”...you sure as heck can, throw every pitch at the top of the zone and count how many times it’s fouled off, no zone hitter would let you get away with that.. plain and simple.
Great job SDS, you’ve really made this game something else.

my opponent fouls off every single one (a couple misses)
Huh?

Eh, I'm pretty new to this game but I definitely get more hits since I changed to zone

I fixed it. Got anything worthwhile to say, if not then I’ll take that as you can’t dispute this.

I’m positive you do! Directional players can’t move the PCI hence why my opponent was getting nothing but foul balls until the game forced my pitches to a better spot for him/her to make solid contact.

More times then not directional hitters don’t have good enough hand eye to move the PCI and swing . This is why SDS does this so they can even the playing field . It’s obvious

Yep, the game will literally hold their hand and give em plenty of pitches to hit. They have removed user input (pitching) to help players win, throw in a few errors along the way and anyone can be successful online. Exactly what they want so players keep playing and buying those stubs.
