So don't do them. Problem solved.

I'm advising people who are going for it. I won't do them but I am just telling people that are going for it that they are not worth doing.

I don't think they are worth completing. Soriano sucks, There will be better options at 1B soon than Ortiz and Chipper is good but not worth the 2 million stubs your spending to get him. https://showzone.io/ Price of the live series collection is at 2.1 M stubs and it will just keep growing unless SDS does a pack sale or a flash sale involving live series diamonds to stop the prices from going up.

It’s been rough with Soriano but don’t see Ortiz or Chip leaving my lineup anytime soon brotha

    Finley, Glavine, Soriano, Chipper, Ortiz.
There's 5 reasons to do the collections.
Every year someone tries to justify not doing collections by telling themselves the cards aren't worth it

I am about 8 players away (5 teams) from completing it. I've been putting all my stubs into it. Even without spending stubs on extra packs or players I can field a great team and still compete. I think my main team overall is 93. It's fun for me to try to get all the players.

Idk I think between events, Trout, Acuna, Tatis, and Chipper it is. Not to mention that you need it for Mo and you are going to need it for the next big collection. There is a lot of content that can’t be completed w/o it. Now if you just want to have a solid DD team it is certainly possible w/o doing LS, but the LS collection is foundational to a lot of other things, not just those three cards.

I mainly do it because I’m a completionist. I have finished every live series collection going back to ‘16.

Because it's not like we are talking about real money and Chipper and Trout alone are worth. Plus you get Glavine and all the other cards you get for unlocking teams and divisions.

I get that wanting to collect cards but some people think they can't put on a competitive team if they don't do collections which is not true. TA 2 gets you tons of good free cards that gets you a god squad. I'm mainly targeting this thread to new players.

Honestly I don't know that we'll see a better 3B or 1B option than Chip and Papi, respectively. Throw some names out that we know are in the game if you think I'm totally wrong, but other than 99 Babe and Lou Gehrig I don't see anyone else even challenging Papi.

Chipper will probably be the best 3B by the end of the year but with Ortiz there are options that are cheaper to get like Jim Thome for example that are not far behind from Ortiz.

I have both. Ortiz starts at first. Thome is an option if I need 15 innings with Indians.

Do you have Soriano, Chipper or Ortiz?
It's hard to take someone who hasn't used the cards opinion seriously. You are correct there are plenty of other great cards but those ones are the clear top cards

Ortiz is better than Thome but the AL collections costs 900,000 and you cant get Thome for free. If your a NMS spent player and you are trying to get the best team you can quickly who do think would be the better option Ortiz or Thome?

Yeah it’s not for everyone. I think it’s silly people are like “BUT THE COLLECTION”. It’s like people just want to do it, just to do it.. which is fine. But it seems some feel obligated to. If you don’t care about these collections you can easily get enough stubs to play with any other player PLUS you can always sell that player back if it doesn’t work out.

I completed the live series collection very early. I got lucky and packed Trout and Cole so it cost me a heck of a lot less than 2.1M. The Soriano card has been great for me. I don’t love Chipper like a lot of others do but the card is pretty legit. I also enjoyed using a lot of the division and team rewards cards for a while as well. Now that there are better cards I use them less but they were great for the first month or two.

Only they are worth doing because your going to need the cards that you get for each team (IE Signature Glavine) for the big collection latter in the year, that is unless you don't want the big collection reward.

Exactly the point I am trying to make. There are options that are free that are not far behind from the best guy in the game at that position.
