Ballplayer accessing attributes from wrong perk

I have built a spreadsheet to try to organize my ballplayer - the base attributes, plus the loaded archetype, perks and equipment. I take the information from RTTS, then compare with the loadout screen when starting a game in DD, and there are errors.
Without going in to all the details, I had an archetype plus two perks. One of the perks I selected was Contact V, but noticed the attributes didn't line up correctly when in DD. The only way to get the correct attributes is if the Contact V was actually Speed VII. Then everything is bang on correct. I do not even have the Speed VII perk.
So, despite selecting Contact V the game is using the attributes from Speed VII in its place. Has anyone else noticed this? Should I submit something to SDS somehow?
