SDS - Please Fix Tagging Baserunners (Video Proof)
-
I love how my 3rd baseman makes no effort to tag out the baserunner running right towards him, but instead does everything he can to get out of his way.
Upon further review, towards the end of the video, you will see that the baserunner's right arm in fact touches (or goes through) the right side of my body or right arm which I'm holding the baseball with. This has happened many times before in different situations.
Experience is so disheartening that I allowed the time to run out, forfeiting the game, because I don't care.

Tagging sucks. Its all animation driven, it's the same problem madden has with their game. So many plays at the plate should be outs but the catcher just casually slides his glove over to the runner instead of aggressively lunging at him like irl.
When a player attempts to steal second and gets caught if you watch the replay, you will first notice when the player begins to run he is stuck in a slow motion animation. Also when he slides into second he has his foot elevated above the bag and gets tagged out. They rely on animations and rng to decide when a runner will be safe or out thats why everything seems so random, but if they didn't the best players would never get caught stealing because the timing in real life is so complex and there are real world variables that can't be programmed. So instead of perfecting runner speed, pitch speed, arm strength from the catcher, jump timings ect... just add a rng algorithm to decide if the runner is safe or out.
