Freeze off

Currently in a freeze off. 2nd inning Currently down 2-1. He had a weak hit chased low out of the zone that found a hole up the middle. Them turned on an inside cutter out of the zone that apparently he barreled. I have a runner on second, 1 out, and he inexplicably tries a quick pickoff to 2nd when no extra steps taken by Trout on 2nd. I have no intentions of caving because his action locked up the game, and I am in a position to tie or take the lead this atbat. Who should bail in this freeze off.

Think the real question is, why does this continue to happen, and why can't the game auto-end the game after a certain amount of time of inactivity? Either give both players a loss regardless, or simply make it not count so we can all go on with our merry lives.

Shouldn't happen to begin with. But I totally understand why someone is 11-0, trying to get a Trout 12 streak reward and is stuck in a freeze off. I mean, you kind of work your but off to get to that point, only to lose it because of a bad network/game flaw? I get it. Thus, there needs to be a resolution by the dev.
