Pitcher warmups

After forgetting to warm up a pitcher in a BR game after pinch hitting for him, I had to bring in a cold pitcher and he struck out the side against a halfway decent hitter. I played some Conquest games and brought in cold pitchers just to see if I could spot a difference and it seems to me warming up pitchers is just an effect thing for the game and makes no difference in performance.... am I wrong????

I don’t know but once you get to a certain age it’s always good to stretch before doing any kind of physical activity.

I honestly never warm up any pitchers in any game mode and I've never noticed a difference

Same here. I haven't seen a difference when they are warmed up or not.

Im guessing sds has never said anything. It would be a timer saver an annoyance removed if everyone knew for sure u dont need to warm up?

Isn't that the truth

Improper warmups and not mound visiting or bringing them in at the start of an inning leads to rapid stamina drain and growth of your opponent's PCI.

Lol I remember I paid a pickup softball game right after I turned thirty. I’m not super athletic and I’m kind of out of shape, but I just played like I would have when younger. Everything felt great! I got a couple of hits, flew around the bases, still couldn’t read a fly ball, etc. that night my body locked up... it stayed that way for about three days with every muscle stuff, sore, weak, or acheing .

Same thing as far as physical after effects of playing softball has happened to me recently. I’m upper 30’s and 10 years ago I could play fast pitch hardball. Pitch 7 innings or so. I’d feel it the day after for a bit but nothing crazy. Now I throw a ball in from the outfield maybe at 90% arm strength once. The next three days my arm is hanging on by a thread.
