when i have a runner at 1st and 3rd and i want to steal 2nd, what buttons do i push? Im on xbox 1. when i think im hitting the buttons correctly, both of the runners steal not the runner at 1st. sorry for being a newbie. thanks in advance.
also what is the button push for slide move for your pitcher with a runner on base?

Hold left stick to the right and press r2

Then use that one. Guess that shows how much I know what I hit it’s just muscle memory at this point. Don’t his R2 people won’t like you.

well im having issues doing so because when i go left stick inward and left trigger ,both runners take off......

Make sure you let go of the trigger before moving the stick back. I've had it where I do it too quickly and it will send the runner from 3rd base as well.

Is there any sort of timing required to steal a base in general (whether there is one or multiple dudes on base)? Like can I manipulate how good of a jump my guys get based on my input or do I just press L2 and hope for the best?

have you had the problem in an online game where you steal a base and even if you push R stick to slide, they run through the base and keep going to third (and getting out)? I have this occasionally and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Also, I've tried to tag up in an online game by pushing the R stick and the button of the base I want to go to, which works fine offline, and the runner doesn't move at all. I seem to only be able to tag up using L1, which then sometimes sends the other runners and exposes them to an out. Any advise on how offline and online differ with base running is appreciated.

I don't think online/offline differ at all. The only time I've noticed a difference in the base running method is if I'm doing moments it's left stick up to advance instead of L1.
I could be remembering wrong but I am pretty sure it's the LEFT stick to select an individual runner to be able to use the buttons to send him to a specific base whereas you said you were using right stick. If you don't select anybody with the left stick but then you press X to try and send someone home for example, it won't do anything at all. So maybe that's an explanation for your issue there.

I think I meant left stick, trying to remember from memory, but could be the issue. perplexing part is I never have any trouble offline, but then online these two quirks happen and cause some terrible base running. Since it is online, I don't really have an opportunity to explore why it is happening

Sorry if it's a stupid question but I realized the other day that maybe there's something I'm doing wrong when my 97 speed 97 BR Dee Gordon doesn't take off running until the pitcher has started the down-swing on his leg lift instead of on first movement. I've been playing The Show for years and just never really thought about it.

u can control this by using your bumpers but if u jump to early, the pitcher will get off rubber and ur cooked...

Thought L1 and R1 were to take a lead or step back
