Earned stubs vs bought stubs

I've been flipping cards (to the best of my ability) and saving my stubs. I had enough to finish the nl west, which was my goal to begin with, but I just couldn't spend them. Instead I put about 250k into investments and I went back to flipping.
It was nothing for me to spend 100 every week on this game just to blow the whole 150k on packs, pull diamonds, sell them, then buy more packs. But now I dont want to spend anything. I think I'm hoarding.

I think a good target is the most expensive player in the game, then anything over that should be free to spend?

I have trout and degrom. Just did the math and I think its safe to say to complete the live series it will cost me around 800k stubs. Thats a crazy amount of money to spend on a bunch of players that are already not good enough to make most lineups. I dont know if the rewards are worth it. Chipper is nice but his speed and fielding aren't great. Big papi can hit, but can't field worth a [censored]. Idk man. Right now buying seager is looking better than the entire collection.

I got Chipper, hes pretty good but his fielding is pretty bad. I also cant hit with Trout very well. Soriano is a struggle against RHP. So i agree with you!
99 Jackie is something else though. << Grind to him

FWIW, Papi has been the best defensive 1B I've used this year so far. He's only missed one or two of those backhand "Ole!" grounders and he makes at least one nice diving stop a game.

No issues with Papi's defense in close to 50 games...

Hes dropped a couple of low ones on 1st base for me. but not that many for me to be worried.
he has thrown over 2nds head a couple of times during a DP though and actually now i think about it, a few have gone under his glove! haha.
Chipper is the worst fielder for me so far though. Always at risk of an error.

Do you use button accuracy for fielding? With the throwing meter?

No i use the laziest settings possible.
Press a button they can sometimes get the ball and literally just push and hold for throwing.
tbh im not that fussy with winning, when i pitch i like to lie back

Gotcha. I'd put in the time to learn button accuracy for fielding throws. I would probably have a much different feeling towards a lot of my guys if I didn't use it. The timing for everybody's throw is the same, so you can kind of get into a rhythm and let er rip.
