Challenge Failed

Has anyone successfully fixed this issue? I haven’t been able to play an online game in a few days and have seen people talk about the issue but no remedy. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the game but still can’t play online.

That's just weird dude. I haven't had a problem all year so far, except for when the servers crash. If you can play other games on-line, I'm wondering if you may have gotten an IP ban.

It's happening to me too. I play on PS4 and I know it's not because I'm facing PS5 players because this year I have already played a streamer who plays on PS5 and had no problems.

I don’t think I wouldn’t have gotten an IP ban. I haven’t interacted with anyone through chat or anything and wouldn’t they send me a message about it? I got a PS5 last Monday and it was fine until Wednesday.

I don’t think I wouldn’t have gotten an IP ban. I haven’t interacted with anyone through chat or anything and wouldn’t they send me a message about it? I got a PS5 last Monday and it was fine until Wednesday.
Yes they would have sent you a message. Did you use both PS4 and P5 Versios? I'm wondering if you have to unlink your PS4 account and re-link using your PS5 account.

I was playing on PS4 before I got the 5. I’ll try that and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

This just started happening to me today. Every time it says “opponent found” it instantly says “challenge failed” before it gets to the lineup screen.
But something’s screwy here. Because I decided to log out and change to my other gamertag and see if the same problem persisted. And it didn’t. An opponent was found and I was able to play a full online game.
I logged in with my other gamertag immediately afterwards, but still getting the same challenge failed message.

I had that happen a handful of times last year. I would log out and do a network connection test after the message, and it would be fine again. Might be a different issue than yours, but that is what worked for me.

I contacted PSN about the issue and they said nothing was wrong with their side. No blocks or anything. They told me to contact my internet provider to make sure everything was good on their end. Right after I finished talking with PSN it started working fine. Idk if it was on their end or not but it’s been working since last Sunday for me.
