The MLB website is a treasure chest of fun reads. Here's an article about a minor league teenage wild-thing fireballer striking out 27 (all-time professional record, unsurprisingly) and another about the eephus pitch (which was linked in the first article).
Ron Darling never gets mentioned in the eephus discussions, but I swear he got Paul Molitor on one when the Jays were in Oakland, which was something to see. I always felt it had to be a pretty special pitch to get Molitor out swinging.
