Is there any way to get power upgrades to show up on those off day training sessions more often? It seems like I can train contact just about every time as well as some other things like speed and fielding, but power only shows up as an option maybe once per month or even less frequently

I don't believe you can, it's just random.
It seems to be every off day in the minors but not in the majors. -
