I play offline but tried online last 2 nights.
I was up 8-0 today in ranked seasons in the 2nd.
the guy paused and the clock ran out
it gave me a message saying i can forfeit his game. I hit it and it gave me the win.
was he trying to scam me out of a win by doing that? I got the win but next time it happens, should i do the same or does the outcome vary?

As long as that is the message you'll get the win. Be careful though some sneaky people will try to throw in a friendly quit at the last second. If you accept that one the game is canceled and no one wins
