I'm gonna have to say it

I took a break from mlb for I'd say a year or so, and what the hell did they do to hitting online. I can place the ball in the upper 3rd of the vision and get a pop out. Had chapman throw up and in and got a "good" timing dead center of the zone and it is a flyout in the gap. User input should be prioritized over stats especially when their stats aren't bad (JT realmuto). The hitting was flawless in mlb 15 and they try to change it every year to let bad players win sometimes ig? There is no way I should [censored] on the ball all game only to lose by a change up that is supposed to be in the dirt goes [censored] middle, and guess what? Their zone isn't on the ball at all! This happens way to much for a "competitive" game mode. Also on that note, y'all wanted everyone to use the new pitching that sucks so bad that you made meter literally unusable. You miss it by maybe a mm and it goes 3 ft to the other side of the plate or 3 ft up into the middle of the zone. Sorry for the rant, but I don't want this game to go the madden route where the content is there, but the gameplay just makes it feel like your fate is predetermined.

It’s already there and has been in a while. We all pine for the old days when gameplay was more skill based, or at least rewarding.

if youre struggling with meter try analog, also keep in mind that your opponents PCI is almost never shown accurately, its been this way for years

One of the most significant things that pisses me off is the fact that you'll go to make a routine play on a grounder and the controller (PS5 for me) refuses to go in the direction of the ball.
With four games online last night, this happened five, maybe six times when I had a lead and it cost me runs or baserunners advancing. It's incredibly frustrating knowing that the game predetermines these scenerios.
