I think it maybe more of a product of not being able to get a PS5 and the Xbox series mainly the Series S is easier to find for the next gen experience.

Also have to factor game pass and more people finding their way into the forum

Sure, completely understandable. But the original question remains... Notice any difference ?

The Old gen ps controller is better to play with than the new gen Xbox controllers. Xbox controller not tight enough and too clicky. Not sure about ps5 controller don’t have on yet.

    Game play pretty similar.

Next gen has birds everywhere for some reason like somebody just learned how to put birds in a game and just went crazy.

Oh also just something small but marketplace better on ps. The trigger doesn’t act as enter on Xbox you have to hit the start button. It also doesn’t wrap around the number as good. And when you mess up and say you put 120 instead of 1200, when you click on the numbers as good and it highlights the whole thing so you either have to retype it in or hit the arrow over first. Where ps you just add the extra 0.

I honestly think it's smoother on the Series X. My kids play on my PS5 and the PCI and pinpoint feel much more stiff on that.. I was surprised. To be fair I am using an Elite Series 2 Xbox controller.
